Payment options

Pay the full contract value at enrolment for a £50 discount, or instalments aligned with student finance payments in September, January and April. International students may be required to pay a term in advance as a visa compliance condition.

Set up a Direct Debit through the accommodation portal before move-in. Late payment incurs reminders and may affect rebooking for subsequent years.

What's included

All rooms include high-speed Wi-Fi, desk lamp and bedding pack hire available for £35 if you prefer not to bring your own. Kitchens in shared flats include basic cookware but residents often bring or purchase additional items collaboratively.

Utility costs and council tax exemption for full-time students are covered. You remain responsible for personal possessions—consider contents insurance beyond the basic cover provided for fixtures.

Financial support

Maintenance loans from Student Finance England contribute toward accommodation costs; the maximum loan for living away from home outside London applies to Luma students. Access Bursary recipients may apply for additional accommodation support through the Student Support Fund if costs create hardship.

Care leavers receive priority for en-suite accommodation and enhanced bursaries contributing toward rent.
