The Postgraduate Open Evening offers a focused introduction to taught Master's programmes, PGCE routes, MBA study and research degrees at Luma University. Held in the Digital Learning Hub, the event runs from 17:00 to 20:00 to accommodate applicants who work during the day.
Academic leads from each school deliver brief presentations on programme structure, assessment methods, placement opportunities and graduate destinations. Dedicated sessions cover applying for postgraduate loans, scholarships and the postgraduate application process through our online portal. Research students can attend a separate briefing on supervision, funding and the doctoral college.
Current postgraduate students host informal Q&A tables covering accommodation, part-time work, and balancing study with family commitments. The careers service outlines support available for postgraduate employability, including consultancy projects with regional employers.
Registration is required. Applicants should indicate their subject area of interest when booking so we can provide relevant materials in advance. The event complements our year-round virtual postgraduate webinars; recordings will be available to registered attendees who cannot join every session.
