Luma University welcomed prospective undergraduates and their families to the Edgewater campus on 20 and 27 September 2025 for the first open days of the new academic year. Admissions teams reported attendance in line with pre-pandemic levels, with particular interest in health sciences, psychology and business programmes.
Visitors attended subject presentations delivered by academic staff, toured Riverside Hall and Scholars Village accommodation, and met current students at the clubs and societies fair held on the campus green. The School of Health offered tours of simulated ward facilities, while the Business School hosted a taster session on entrepreneurship using case studies from West Midlands small businesses.
Director of Student Recruitment David Okoye encouraged applicants to register early for January and spring open days. "Choosing a university is a significant decision. Visiting campus—seeing where you will live, study and socialise—helps applicants determine whether Luma feels like the right fit," he said.
The university's UCAS application deadline for equal consideration courses falls on 29 January 2026. Admissions staff will be available at each open day to discuss personal statements, entry requirements and the university's approach to contextual offers for applicants from underrepresented backgrounds.
Virtual open day recordings and 360-degree campus tours remain available on the admissions website for applicants unable to attend in person. The next in-person open days are scheduled for 5 and 12 July 2026.
